Our jeweler
James Newton is the fourth generation and our main jeweler. He looks after the pieces you already own: repairs, sizing and engraving, all done here in house.

The Newton's Promise
Take your time at the counter. We will show you what you ask to see and tell you plainly what it is.
The Newton's Promise“Value is the most important word to successful buying.”

Our story
George Newton opens the store with Ora in McAlester, Oklahoma.
The family moves to Fifth and Main in Joplin. We are still here.
Through the Joplin tornado, as through the flu, the Depression and two world wars.
Brian and Peggy run the store. James, the fourth generation, is at the bench.
Services

Pieces with a past, in our cases and ready to wear again.
Bring in old gold and silver, or trade toward something new.
Names, dates and a few words, done here.
Bought in store, for any occasion.
A one-off piece, when you ask for one.
Diamond basics
How the facets are angled. A well cut diamond sends light back up through the top of the stone, so it looks bright from across the room.
